Eyes on Iran - Part I

There is a prophetic scene developing in the Middle East. I read daily accounts of Iran pursuing nuclear technology, each day moving closer to the possibility of nuclear warheads being available to a member of the Axis of Evil. President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, claims that Iran is simply pursuing a means to clean electricity for his country as an alternative to other fuels; however, the leaders of Iran have called for the annihilation of Israel. Russian and China are 2 of the 5 permanent veto-wielding members of the United Nations Security Council. The other 3 are France, United Kingdom, and the United States. If a resolution is submitted to the Security Council and vetoed by any one or more of these 5 countries, the resolution fails. The United States and other European countries have called for increased economic sanctions against Iran to inhibit their ability to proceed with nuclear developments; however, Reuters informed today that China dropped itself from a meeting to discuss tougher sanctions on Iran. Russia, which has strong economic and military ties to Iran, also opposes economic sanctions - stating that further diplomatic meetings may resolve the tension the West has with Iran.

May I remind you that we are seeing the possible development of prophetic events foretold thousands of years ago through the prophet Ezekiel.
